Source: DataReportal — Digital 2025: AlgeriaBefore your account number appears to any sender, El-B privately checks that both sides are talking about the same deal, through the same channel, with the same person. If anything doesn’t match, the RIP stays hidden and the fraudster loses their chance.
Triangulation fraud A scam in which a fraudster poses as the middleman between two victims who don’t know each other: they sell an item to a buyer, at the same time buy from a real seller for the same amount, then give the buyer the seller’s account number. The buyer pays, the seller delivers to the fraudster, and the fraudster vanishes.
It works because the BaridiMob receipt doesn’t show the sender’s name on incoming transfers, so the seller thinks the money came from the customer they’re talking to.
The result: two victims, and a fraudster who didn’t pay a single dinar of their own.
El-B An independent Algerian platform that acts as a two-sided digital witness: the recipient and the sender each describe the deal privately, an AI-powered verifier compares the two descriptions, the RIP number is only revealed when they match, and the BaridiMob transaction number is then recorded only once.
Triangulation fraud only works if you transfer to an account number someone gave you outside El-B. Ask the seller for an El-B payment link before any transfer: their number only appears if you both describe the same deal. If they refuse, you have your answer.
Digital transactions in Algeria are growing fast, and online fraud is growing with them. These official and independent figures describe the environment your deals happen in.

The recipient fills in the payment details once and gets a one-time link, sends it to the sender and gets on with their day.
The sender describes the deal without seeing the recipient’s details: the item, the delivery destination, the amount, and optionally the platform and the recipient’s name.
AI compares both descriptions and detects any mismatch in the item, the channel or the amount. At the slightest doubt, the deal is stopped and the RIP number stays hidden.
The RIP number is shown to the sender only, who transfers through BaridiMob and enters the transaction number, and the recipient gets an instant alert to confirm receipt.
Each layer closes a gap fraudsters exploit today.
A fraudster can’t feed both victims the same answers, because neither side sees the other’s answer before the decision.
The RIP only appears to a sender whose terms matched yours and who clicked “I’m ready to transfer”.
The link locks to the first device that opens it, so no one else can access or follow the payment afterwards.
Each transaction number (External ID) is accepted only once across the whole platform, so an old receipt can’t be reused.
15 minutes to transfer, then the payment locks, so you never get late transfers from unknown sources.
We never hold any amount and never connect to your postal account. The transfer stays between you and Algérie Poste.

I used to receive transfers from people I didn’t know and feared they were scams. Now I send an El-B link before any RIP, and two attempts were stopped automatically.
My customers trust me more when they see my account number only appears after verification. The whole process takes less than two minutes.
I asked the seller for an El-B payment link before buying a phone; they refused and dodged the question. I later understood they were setting up a triangulation scam.
The transfer time limit and the one-time receipts ended the fake receipt problem I kept running into.
Straight answers about how El-B works and its limits.
It’s a scam in which a fraudster slips in between a buyer and a seller who don’t know each other, getting the buyer to transfer the money directly to the real seller’s account while the fraudster collects the item from the seller. It works because the BaridiMob receipt doesn’t show the sender’s name.
The recipient and the sender each describe the deal separately and privately: the item, the delivery destination, the amount, and optionally the platform and the recipient’s name on it. An AI-powered verifier compares both descriptions, and the RIP number only appears if they match. In triangulation fraud, each side describes a different deal, so the payment is stopped automatically.
No. El-B never receives any money and never connects to your postal account. The transfer is made as usual from the official BaridiMob app, and El-B only acts as a witness.
No. The terms are sealed and the other party never sees them, which is what stops a fraudster from feeding both victims the same answers.
Only after the verifier confirms the terms match and the sender clicks “I’m ready to transfer”. A 15-minute window then starts to complete the transfer.
The payment locks and the RIP number is hidden again, to protect you from late, untraceable transfers. Only the recipient can reopen it for more time.
No. Each 12-digit transaction number (External ID) is recorded only once across the whole platform, and any later use is rejected.
It depends on the recipient’s setting: logging in with a Google account or creating an account, or joining as a guest with your full name as on your ID card.
Every account gets 15 free credits every month. A payment costs from 1 credit (up to 3,000 DZD) to 15 credits (up to 200,000 DZD) depending on its amount, and credits are sold in packs that never expire, starting at 1,000 DZD. No credit is charged before the sender enters the transaction number, and the sender pays nothing.
No. El-B is an independent service, not affiliated with Algérie Poste, and it doesn’t use any of its programming interfaces.
